Welcome to FotoFlowers.
We provide beginner and intermediate level workshops in flower, garden and nature photography in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. We run regular nature walk workshops in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside and can provide custom workshops for your group, association or club.
In 2010 we hope to also provide workshops in country house gardens and venues across oxfordshire, check this site for updates. We are currently organising the schedule of dates for 2010, if you are interested in attending a workshop, e-mail me and I will send you the workshop schedule as soon as it is finalised.

FotoFlowers is run by me, John Blythe. I have been a full time professional photographer for 16 years, originally based in London and now in Oxfordshire since 2003. My commercial work covers Food, Product and Corporate photography, working with clients as diverse as Häagen-Dazs and Barclays Capital. But my personal interest and passion remains flower and nature photography. I am also qualified to teach in higher education (PTTLS). I have lectured to BA Hons students at Reading University and worked with schools in both London and Oxfordshire.
My photography workshops are designed to be relaxed, enjoyable events where there is no such thing as a stupid question. There is no better way to learn than to get out there and do it, so there is no sitting in a classrooms watching slideshows. My nature walk format provides plenty of opportunities to experiment and seek advice and guidance on the spot. Groups are small so everybody gets the attention they need and you will come away with pictures you can be proud of and enjoy showing off and a better understanding of how to get the images you want.
You can see a small sample portfolio of my own work on the portfolio page and more information about the workshops on the rest of the site.
